What is the Marine Data Centre BC?

The Marine Data Centre BC is a collaborative program between the Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries at UBC to build a secure data archive for marine ecosystem information on the Salish Sea and West Coast Vancouver Island.

What happened to the Strait of Georgia Data Centre?

In line with our evolving mission and the growing needs of the Marine Science Program at the Pacific Salmon foundation, we adopted a new name that better reflects who we are, the Marine Data Centre BC. Additionally, our datasets and products now cover a broader area beyond the Strait of Georgia.
